This collage contains a huge flower in the foreground, in front of a very large crowd in an outside environment. Like an outdoor concert. The texture of the flower is similar to the “texture” of the crowd, linking them in an almost indecipherable mass of dots.
I have no idea how to comment on this, other than to say I love how two disparate subjects could look alike and form an abstraction.
More later on how this idea formed the making of these collages, rather than my focusing on the eerie, sometimes funny subject matter that does come up.

No those aren’t fingers. I don’t remember what they are but they belong to the crowd piece. Yes, I would have a panic attack in that crowd too. This collage always reminds me of a book I read about the Maharishi in India importing all those poor people to give the TV audience a good show. When they were hired for food to come see him.And we all in the West thought he was so popular. Very grim, huh? I wonder where I got this crowd scene? In what magazine? Maybe it was supposed to be, or was, Woodstock!

The first time I posted it. It has the highest rating on the “stat” meter! That’s why I reblogged it. It’s hard for me to see why except for the boomers likening it to The Beatles and Sergeant Pepper.

I like how you’ve combined two disparate items but unified them so well with color. The flower and the “dots” of people’s heads do work well together. Interesting comment re: The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper!
