I know, that is perfect!!!! In every way. Because we collage people use paper and newspaper. I don’t need to tell you that. You being an art person. Max Ernst and all. Thanks for looking forward to it!
Very striking. I don’t like this one as much as the others and trying to work out why. I think maybe the starker juxtaposition is provoking a reaction in me. Or maybe I am subsconsiously taking the severed legs too literally.
That’s the great thing with a series – seeing my different reactions to each one
I like your honesty, Denise. It’s so good to see these individually because when I showed them spread out all over the gallery walls with 100 fabric rings, the individuality of these collages was almost lost. They are 5″ x 5″ (excluding the frame) and they looked like little jewels in the installation.
Yes, you do. I love showing these collages this way, since I did work on them as I would a painting, and their size and their position in the installation did obscure them a little.
I’m really enjoying my daily collage – sounds like a good title for an artsy newspaper…

I didn’t realise they were so small.
I think an observer’s reaction says as much about them as about the art itself.

This too for me not my favorite and not sure why. Do enjoy the series too and as I said before you see so much more one at a time.

I can see why you liked it, Hello Fig! The woman’s shoes and legs, similar (although not the same) as yours!
