“Afloat” Image. Ceres Gallery. New York. Solo Show.
The figure here looks like it is separated from the “background.” With the exception of a few cotton ball wrappers, linking them together. Usually I integrate the so-called background and foreground in collage, painting or drawing, making it one piece.
Hollis, this is such a great image. It is just teeming with electricity and life! I can’t stop looking at it.

Oh, You’ll know. I am almost to one hundred of these. I am getting nervous as to what to post, let alone how I am going to show work in progress! Thank you!

I’ll be waiting for that! 🙂 I get that. I have stuff in the cue and sometimes I’ll take myself out of posting this painting or that one and then eventually I just put it out there and I’m always amazed to see how people connect with it!

It’s the pink bubble I’m curious about – so ephemeral in an otherwise busy, hot study – almost like Starman out of control

The pink bubble was meant to anchor this otherwise out-of-control Starman! Anchor him to the background! He still keeps sizzling though!
