Pansies. I love pansies. Here they thrive in the winter. Rows and clusters of them are being planted in huge quantities now at all gas stations, median strips, apartment complexes. People are buying them to put in their flower beds. I am too busy with this blog, I don’t know how I am going to get any artwork done.
But when I see pansies. With their sweet, upturned faces, sometimes shivering in the cold, I turn all Southern and say, “They hung the moon.”

Purple and yellow is a great combination. One of those that reminds me of the way nature puts colours together in flowers.

The balance of nature. Those flowers that don’t have an aroma are the prettiest like orchids. And as you say, the purple and yellow complimentary colors can be found in pansies!

I have a friend from Rhode Island who was so surprised when she saw my pansies. She said these are our summer flowers. Love the picture and love pansies too!

Thank you. Yes, the fact that they grow here in the winter but not the summer, is interesting. Too hot here in the summer, I guess!

They just wont grow in my garden for some reason but I love their velvety little faces and the colour combinations they come in are fantastic

Jenny, I know! They even have cultivated black pansies! But, thankfully most of the colors are in your Sunday /Monday colors. I bought some today to plant! So pretty. Just in containers, not in the actual garden.

The spam thing happens from time to time, I don’t know why, but check my spam box every so often in case any of my friends have been consigned there! I don’t know why my posts aren’t coming up in your Reader – again, Lynette had the same problem for a while but then they came back. You could try to unfollow then re follow, I suppose , see if that works?

Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this blog.
