Orion Crook is also an artist. He approached me in the Spring of this year, asking me to be a part of an exhibition he was in the midst of curating called, “Living Case.” He came to me, having seen my installation, “Afloat,” on the internet: the one I did for Ceres Gallery in New York’s Chelsea area. He was attracted to the one hundred squishy rings I made for my show.
Although this is a group show, and he is working with many artists, he is holding true to his vision of the organic flow of life and death. Of growth and decay.

Thanks Marjie. Wish you and Ed could have been there. It was lit exquisitely. And a person felt that Orion had created another world!!!! Lyla said it felt like there were no floors, walls or ceilings. Definitely an experience. Not such an art show. Thanks so much for commenting.

Thanks Patricia. I have been painting, I guess I said. So different from the collage/ installation /video stuff. The immediate gratification we are all into now did not exist when I was painting a few years ago. Certainly making videos is a more immediate thing obviously. So I tell myself to not be impatient. One thing I do definitely enjoy with painting is the color relationships. I looked at my work the other day and I thought ” I did a transparency!” Inadvertently, which I under stand, is the best way to do it. So it has its rewards. I am happy for your success!!!! xoxo

Oh thanks Denise. It was a fantastic experience that Orion Crook put together. He created a very unreal special world. So happy to be a part of it. So nice of you to stop in.
